Albums with pictures of dead

Arrested for wooden frames, made-up, hairstyles and dresses for party. It was so happened one of the greatest oddities that marked the Victorian era in the 19th century: the photo albums of people killed.


This custom, in Latin, was called the photos "post-mortem". The practice actually began in England when Queen Victoria herself asked that photographed a close relative who had just died in order to save the image as a reminder.
Since then this thing to shoot dead people become fashionable, spread to many places and lasted for several years. What was not lacking in those moments was creativity: many dead were placed standing, with open eyes, in poses they used to do to be photographed and often, the family also attended this morbid record.
Over time, it seems that common sense returned to people and society came to see this practice with revulsion.Nevertheless, they say that in some places in the world to practice still exists. In fact, some people buy these grotesque souvenirs at exorbitant prices at auctions.
Do what, right? Taste is an indisputable thing, but the images are somewhat gruesome, it is! Check out the gallery some of these confusing records:
